Marko had a tremendous showing at Gartner’s Data & Analytics Summit in Orlando last week. Attendees got a sneak peek into how Marko is fundamentally changing the perception of data and AI at Aramark.

Once viewed as an expense to many, Marko is unlocking data in ways that will drive growth and real-time optimization. This can be as simple as providing dietary information to consumers. It can also be more sophisticated like rationalizing inventory needs based on weather, historical sales, and projected attendance.

These innovations need fuel – and lots of it. That’s why Marko is constantly being fed data from multiple sources with help from SnapLogic’s Intelligent Integration Platform. SnapLogic was on-hand to see Brian Murphy, VP and Chief Data Architect, share the story of Marko and included a key takeaway in their recent blog:

When data is aggregated, cleansed, and made available, departments become nimbler in acting on the data they receive. In addition, they are able to build applications or micro-services on top of Marko to create analytics, natural language, machine learning, and visualization services as well as – and most importantly – data-as-a-service.

We are seeing the outcomes of this ideology every day at Aramark and we’re excited to see how teams continue to utilize Marko’s offerings. We captured a lot of great feedback from the data community including partners like SnapLogic. Lastly, a big thank you to Gartner for hosting the data summit and giving us the opportunity to showcase Marko.
